Lake Jindabyne, NSW, Australia
Perched on the slopes of Lake Jindabyne, this 10-bed holiday lodge integrates with the topography to form an homogeneous composition with its site. The geometry, fenestration and rustic materials echo the local granite geology. The terraced form meets the road, creating a mid-level arrival platform and parking. The sculptural mass is carved to provide a sheltered entry. A sky lit central void penetrates the core, connecting to the upper and lower levels. The elevated lounge projects views over the lake to the Snowy Mountains.
