Canberra, Australia – National Design Competition 3rd Prize 1997
The Kingston Foreshore design promotes a mixed use, high-density contemporary urban form for Canberra's lakeside precinct. The scheme layers a hierarchy of urban logics, morphing the two dimensional geometric framework established by Mahony-Griffin into a hybrid composition of commerce, housing, public space and transport. Kingston Foreshore received the jury Commendation Award in the ACT Government's National Design Competition in 1997.
