Taylor House

Canberra, Australia

The Taylor House projects and folds vector-like form into a three dimensional nexus of movement and light. Rising along the southern boundary, a ramp rises and wraps an internal atrium before turning to re-orientate the building toward the sun and garden. The elevation of bedrooms and private domains liberates the ground plane, allowing the open plan living spaces below to connect seamlessly to the garden, pool and patio areas. Below ground, a basement garage, home theatre, and guest facilities form a subterranean complex.
