Taylor House
Residential, Australia
Vector-like form projects and folds into a three dimensional nexus of movement and light. Rising along the southern boundary, a ramp rises and wraps the internal atrium, re-orientating the building to the sun and spanning the entire ground level to generate open plan living with seamless connections to the patio, pool and garden. Private domains are suspended overhead, while below ground, a home theatre, guest room and basement parking form a subterranean complex. The development footprint is minimised, conserving an abundant garden landscape.
